Weights continue to improve with the warmer weather and there was only 2lb separating the top 2. Andy Greig drew fancied peg 24 on moat outer and fished pellet waggler from start to finish. Alternating pelleta dn meat hair rigged Andy caught carp to 12lb
Robin Walker also used waggler to good effect. Varying depths from 2ft to 4ft Robin kept carp coming stedily all match. Pellet was best bait
Andy fished pole and waggler shallow for his ton plus weight.
With a favourable South East wind, peg 2 on the island was always going to be a premium peg today. Andy Sellars fished the margins with corn to great effect and was today's clear winner with a nice ton plus net of carp and bream.
Andy Oldham also fished a good match, but used chopped worm on the pole to catch a spendid mixed net which included 40lbs of bream.
Steve Robbins took third place with some decent carp and bream caught from both margin sides using pellet and corn.
The cold easterly wind certainly droped the weights today. Pete Bagshaw made the most of a good early spell using pellet waggler to finish with some decent carp in his winning net.
Ian Donaldson took second spot by catching some bonus carp late on from the deep margins using corn over groundbait.
Paul Schoof fished paste on the pole at 8m to land carp and bream for third place.

Conditions were far from ideal for this latest round of the popular Leegem league with a cold wind affecting conditions. Nigel Potter drew fancied peg 24 on moat outer and made no mistake with a ton plus weight. Nigel caught on bomb and waggler with pellet and meat for carp to 8lb
Scott Plant also had a decent weight from peg 2 on moat Island. Scott fished pellet to the marginal reeds over micros and 4mm feed pellet for 18 carp to 6lb

Arthur Berisford blitzed this saturday field from fancied area on moat outer. Arthur fished feeder and pva bag with micros and hair rigged meat for 18 carp to 12lb
Styeve Robbins had to wait til the last hour to catch his big carp from the margins on corn over pellet
Gary Mumby also used the margins to good effect catching 11 carp on maggots and corn over groundbait for 3rd place

Joe Simms stuck to short pole with 6mm expander over micros for his second place weight of 55lb. Joe fed micros and 4mm feed pellet
Arthur fished pva bag with micros and various hookbaits for his carp catch and 3rd place

With the milder weather carp were in a more obliging mood for this 2nd round of the ever popular Leegem league. Steve Twigg broke the ton with carp into double figures caught on waggler with 6mm pellet shallow.
Harry Barton followed suit to the winner also using the waggler shallow. Harry alternated pellet and hair rigged meat for 17 carp to 8lb
Phil Wright swapped between feeder and waggler for his carp dominated net and a 3rd place finish
Wayne Lomas fished a pellet cone to the middle of Moat today, to claim victory with a nice net of carp. Wayne used hairrigged corn and banded pellet on the hook.
Gary Mumby battled the windy conditions fishing long pole with expander pellet to catch carp and bream for second place.

Andy Oldham came out close winner in this conclusion to the saturday winter league. Gary Mumby finishd second in the league after winning this match from moat island 67. Gary fished pole and pellet at 13m for 5 carp and 15lb of skimmers
Lee Hewiso also mused pellet to good effect catching on 4 and 6mm epanders over 4mm feed
Daz Oldham had a mixed net of carp and skimmers for 3rd place
With the improving weather the carp started to have a feed for this well attended vets thursday match. Arnie Payling fished groundbait feeder with hair rigged corn for 8 carp to 8lb
Dave Sewell came 2nd from outer 64. Dave fished 4mm expander pellet at 8m for 3 carp and 12lb of skimmers
Joe also used pellet to good effect from outer 97. Joe fished at 7m feeding micros and 4mm
Silverfish dominated this latest vets match on bridge and croft pool. Nigel Wood led the way from croft 7 with 20lb. Nigel fished maggot over groundbait for skimmers, tench and roach
Roger Holmes opted for a pellet approach on the pole. Roger used 4mm and micros at 13m for mainly skimmers to 1lb
Chris also used a combination of maggot and pellet for his mixed bag

Alan Burley fished a small pellet feeder with various hair rigged hook baits for 5 carp and skimmers. Alan put micros nd 4mm pellets through the feeder
Robin fished pole and pellet at 10m for a mixed bag of carp and skimmers
Dave Hiley caught all silvers on short pole with caster and maggot over groundbait
Bob Poole opted to fished a groundbait feeder with corn just past half way across Moat. Bob netted carp too 8lbs plus the odd Bream too 3lbs in his winning net today.
The close second place battle fell to in form Nigel Wood who netted mainly skimmer bream on long pole with maggot over pellet.
Gary Mumby finished third with skimmers and carp also caught on long pole, but he used expander pellet on the hook.
This well attended Veterans match turned out to be a real challenge for anglers today as the fish weren't playing ball. Nigel Wood ended up winner with bream and carp caught on long pole with groundbait and maggot.
Roy Smith stuck it out for carp today on the feeder with corn and ended up second with the help of a 10lb common.
Arnie Payling took third spot with a net of small skimmers caught on the waggler with maggot to the middle of Moat.
Trevor Furby was today's winner with some nice winter carp caught on the feeder with hairrigged corn as hook bait.
