Lee Hewison found some big carp shoaled around the aerator on Moat Outer today. Lee fished a great match on the waggler with banded pellets to net the top weight this winter, a magnificent 238lbs. Lee had the added christmas bonus of being on a Link peg and the £1000 prize.
Wayne Lomas took second place fishing corn and pellet on the bomb to the middle of Moat. Wayne also broke the ton mark with another nice winter net.
Steve Clark caught carp using pole with expander pellet and swapping during the match to feeder with corn to take third spot today.
Despite the warmer weather the carp still remained in similar places to thursdays match. Dave Dare fished feeder and bomb with pellet and corn for carp into double figures
Martin Parsons fished hair rigged corn and meat on feeder for 2nd place and carp to 8lb

With the milder weather the carp continue to feed on Reed Pool with some good weights. Andy Lakey won from peg 38 with 89lb. He fished long pole and pellet over micros for carp to 5lb
Steve Robbins alternated bomb and pellet and pole with corn for his 73lb and 2nd place

Geoff Wilde won this latest vets open from moat island 61. Geoff fished groundbait feeder and micros to the far bank for 15 carp to 12lb
Andy Sellars fished bomb and pellet adn waggler on the deck with pellet and corn for 2nd place and carp to 8lb
Paul Schoof fished long pole and pellet for his all carp net
Chuck Yves was the clear winner with a nice net of winter carp fishing pva bag with pellets and meat to the middle of Bridge Pool.
Chris Line took second place fishing bomb and pellet or corn towards the aerator on Bridge.
Roger Holmes finished third with all skimmers caught on expander pellet on the the pole at 10m.

Dave Sellers cemented his place in the veterans diving team with a magnificent swan dive off his platform at the start of the match. Dave went on to win a soggy section.

The sudden overnight frost certainly affected the fish feeding today as the weights were lower and bites were at a premium. Steve Clark caught skimmers on the pole using bloodworm and joker over groundbait.
Brian Sullivan fished waggler with maggots to catch silverfish throughout the match and take second spot overall.
Arnie Payling took third place also fishing a waggler to the middle of Croft with maggot and caster.

Wayne Lomas was the winner today with a nice net of small carp caught on pole and expander pellets.
Steve Spurr edged the close second place also catching small carp on the pole using pellets.
Steve Robbins fished long pole with maggots and groundbait to catch mainly carp for third place overall.
Andy Sellars continued his good form with this win from outer 6. Andy fished feeder to the far bank reeds for carp to 6lb
There was a tie for 2nd place with both anglers weighing 28lb 2oz. Both anglers caught carp on pellet on the feeder
Gordon Gibson caught carp from the middle of Moat using feeder with pellet and corn as hook baits to catch carp for the win.
