The final afternoon match of the year turned out to be a cracker with another 7 ton plus weights. Shane Pimperton fished pole and paste at 12m and then to both margins for his brilliant weight.
Dave Whiting fished worms on the pole at 10m and then to the margins over a bed of hemp for a close second place today.
Andy Oldham fished shallow with pellet all match but had a slow last hour which pushed him back to third place.
The start of this year's veterans winter league has seen one of the closest matches this year. Not big weights but carp and silvers caught all round. Arthur fished short pole with corn over hemp to edge the win.
