Despite Ice melting into the water this week, there were still skimmers to be caught in some areas. Geoff Hiley fished a great match on the tip, catching all skimmers using a small groundbait feeder with pinkies and bloodworm.

Ben Holmes took second place from Bridge Outer fishing expander pellet over feed on a long pole line to catch mainly skimmers.
Marc Foy fished caster and maggot over groundbait and joker at 12m on the pole for a nice mixed net of silvers and third place.

Arthur Berisford fished a pellet cone to the middle of Moat with hairrigged corn as hook bait and netted some decent carp for the win.
Pete Miles also caught carp on a pellet cone, but used maggot and banded pellet as hook baits.

With melting ice and cold temperatures conditions were far from ideal for this vets match on moat pool. Arnie Payling drew fancied area on moat outer and fished bomb with corn for 7 carp to 9lb

With nearly freezing temperatures conditions were hard for this saturday open on moat pool. Paul Elliott found 4 carp halfway through the match on bomb and hair rigged corn for 39lb
Nigel Potter also fished bomb but with pellet and meat for carp to 9lb

The cold winter forecast certainly curbed the numbers fishing today as only 18 anglers braved the bitter wind and sleet. Lee Hewison was the winner fishing a pellet cone with banded pellet for just shy of the ton mark.
Jack Hobson took second place fishing a feeder with groundbait and maggots towards the aerator in the middle of the lake.

Ian Temple and Keith Crummey tied for third place today. Both anglers caught on a tip rod fished across the far side of Moat.

Chris Greensides was the overall winner today, helping his team win as well on the day. Chris caught skimmers on a feeder fished with bloodworm and pinkies.

Dave Hiley egded the close second spot fishing a groundbait feeder with maggot to catch carp which count as 1lb and the rest mixed silvers.

Tony Butt was today's clear winner with a nice ton-plus net of carp caught on a small groundbait feeder with banded pellets fished to the middle of Moat.
Andy Whitehouse caught carp too 8lbs using bomb and hairrigged corn tactics to the far side of Moat for second place.
Scott Plant took third place also fishing a tip rod today. Scott caught from the reeds on the far bank.

Anglers battled the strong winds and heavy rain conditions that faced them today. Wayne Lomas sat it out on the tip all day and caught a decent ton-plus net for the victory.
Gordon Gibson took second place also catching carp on the tip using bomb and cone with banded pellet to weigh in just over the ton.
Steve Twigg fished a pellet feeder to the far bank and caught carp and bream for third spot.
Dave Boswell stormed to victory from an area that hasn't been producing many results of late. Dave stuck with bomb and meat/corn to the middle of the lake.
